Mr. Sanchez is a Senior Strategist and Hyper-Growth Operator with P&L responsibilities and over a decade of experience leading Fortune 500 and hyper-growth companies develop and execute complex strategies. Mr. Sanchez has experience across several industries including construction, engineering design, consulting, large manufacturing and industrials, and tech enabled consumer-focused companies.
Mr. Sanchez has leveraged data-driven, rigorous analyses to develop competitive strategies driving top-line growth, market share expansion, and boosting margins. He is a disciplined, tenacious, service leader experienced in building high-performing teams to meet and exceed targets in dynamic markets while consolidating a mission-centric culture.
Most recently he worked as General Manager for the Florida/Puerto Rico region and leader of International Expansion at DoorDash.
Mr. Sanchez holds a BS in Civil Engineering with a Structural Engineering concentration from the University of Notre Dame, a MS in Geotechnical Engineering from Virginia Tech, and an MBA from The Wharton School
Currently Mr. De Castro works as VicePresident at H.I.G. Capital, a leading global private equity and alternative assets investment firm with over $60 billion of equity capital under management, where he has executed several investments in different sectors across Latin America, including the acquisition of Ransa, a leading logistics Company in Latin America.
Previously, Mr. De Castro worked for over four years at Advent International, one of the largest and most experienced global private equity investors, where he participated in landmark investments, such as LifeMiles, a leading loyalty program in Latin America and OCENSA, a US$1.1bn acquisition of Colombia’s largest crude oil pipeline.
Mr. De Castro also serves as Board Member in Grupo Ransa and was member of multiple Committees in HIG’s portfolio companies.
He holds a dual Bachelors degree in Economics and Law from the University of the Andes (Colombia) and an MBA from The Wharton School.
